Time sure does fly!

Though I'm almost positive that hardly anyone reads my blog, I decided to write a little note to those who do. My life has been busy. I've been on TONS of trips and have a lot of stuff to do! Let's get started!

Marching Band 2010!

Yes, that's right. It's that time again! Time for the hard work, good tan, and tons of fun! I'm the section leader of the clarinets which means I'm in charge of their well being. Oh boy... :) We're going to be competing on 5A or Open Class this year. We'll be versing such 'big boys' as American Fork and Davis. Oh boy again... I'm looking forward to another great year! :)

Cherry Hill

Yesterday I was able to go with my cousins and family to Cherry Hill, the greatest fun spot you'll ever know! I have so many fun fun memories there and the fun keeps coming! My cousins are great and it was amazing spending more time with them! Love ya!

I am 16!!

The year has come! The year to drive and the year to date! I can't believe I'm that old already! I got my license on my birthday and it's been fun!

Jamboree Time!

On Monday I get the opportunity to go with the Great Salt Lake Council to the East Coast for a 3 week scout camp. We'll spend the first week or so touring the famous sites of Virginia, Washington D.C., New York, etc. We'll then spend another week at Fort AP Hill with TONS of other scouts. The last couple days will be more touring (Busch Gardens, etc.)

Arches National Park/Dead Horse Point

Our family was able to travel down to Southern Utah for a weekend and see all the fantastic sites. We visited Arches National Park where I was able to stand inside the iconic Utah landmark. We also traveled to Double Arch which was featured in one of the Indiana Jones movies. Just to let you know, there's no secret cave up inside. :)
We also traveled to Dead Horse Point State Park. We got to stand on the top and look over the 2000 foot drop to the bottom of the canyon. That place is like Utah's Grand Canyon. Amazing!

Believe

Over the past little while I've grown to love my religion. As I said proudly when I was a little tike, 'I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know who I am, I know God's plan, I'll follow him in faith. I believe in the Savior, Jesus Christ, I follow his name. I'll do what is right, I'll follow His light. His truth I will proclaim!' Though I took this picture at Christmas time, I think it applies to anytime, any where. Believe in yourself. Believe in God. Believe in life. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not." James 1:5

Thanks for everyone who's been with me to the end. Though the end may not be near, I know you'll always be there for me. You're all amazing and don't you ever forget that. As one of my favorite cousins said, "I'll love you for eternity, forever and ever."

Old friends and new friends

Have you ever watched,
The sun set?
Have you ever watched,
As the plane left?
Have you ever watched,
As your best friend waved
Goodbye and so long?

As I was thinking today, I thought back on the friends I've lost contact with and the friends I've gained. It's been hard over the years as friends have moved and wards have been split. A nearby house and a church is what sometimes seems to hold friendships together. As these things disappear, the lasting love of friendship goes with it.

I'd like to talk mostly about the friends I've gained. These last couple years I've opened up. I'm a completely different person and I've made boat-loads of friends. Each one is special and each one means something different to me! I have friends that make me laugh, friends that make me smile, friends that help me learn, and friends that lift me up. I have friends that care about me, friends who don't care if I'm crazy, friends that listen to my problems, and friends that are just friends.

I would like to now thank all my friends, past, present and future, for the great impact you've had on me! Though I may not always tell you, but I love you all! And to the friend in WA, you are my friend and always will be! Even though we're separated by many states, I'll always be your friend!

THANK YOU FRIENDS FOR CHANGING MY LIFE!!

Happy New Year 2010

Happy New Year to you all!!! I hope the new year brings happiness and joy to everyone!! This year on New Year's Eve, we traveled to Alta Ski Resort to watch the Torchlight parade and fireworks!! We had a great time, but got very cold. On New Year's Day, Grandma and Grandpa Carter came over and visited us. We had some yummy lunch. I barely beat Grandma at a game of Battleship. She wants to play again to redeem herself! :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
