Silence and Limes.

I'm sitting on my couch in my living room enjoying the silence which envelops me.

If you know me well, you would realize that there are two things wrong with that last sentence. First, Drew never sits in his living room because there is never a time when he can. Second, there is never silence in Drew's apartment, especially at 11:30 at night. Well I'm proud to say that my opening sentence is indeed true. I am the only one home at the moment. Yosuke is studying, Dain is working, and Bryce is out of town. The apartment is silent. Oh how I've missed silence.

I decorated my flat for Christmas today. There are lights glowing in the windows and homemade snowflakes hanging beside them. There are yarn portraits of a Christmas tree, snowman, and candle taped on the walls and doors. What a grand time of year this is!

I realized today that there are many unknown smells coming from mysterious places in my apartment. I don't know where they're coming from, but I did my best to eliminate them through a series of cleaning procedures. I took out the garbage, mopped the floors, vacuumed the living room, and poured powder laundry detergent in each of the kitchen drains. To further encourage pleasant aromas and mask any missed odors, I concocted a lime water air fresher that simmers on the stove, providing a fresh lime smell to waft through the air in the apartment. It now smells wonderful in here, despite the foggy window corners...

My Aunt Valerie and cousin Arianne visited today to help Laura register for her upcoming classes. They brought me the "Twelve Days of Christmas" and much needed supplies sent from home, courtesy of my beautiful mother. I'm very grateful for their kindness and generosity. They are such a blessing in my life. Hugs and kisses!

I had only one class today. I wish that's how it was every day, but alas, I must continue with my college education at full speed ahead!

I hope you all have a wonderful night. Remember that you are special and loved by those around you. Keep smiling, always. Revel in silence while you have it and enjoy the multipurpose functions of limes.
